Workshop & Utility Conversion
The Brief
An end-of-garden brick outbuilding had been used as cold storage for forty years. The owner wanted to convert it into a year-round workshop and utility space — with a clean enough finish to double as a guest studio if needed.
Our Approach
We re-roofed in slate, lifted the floor for insulation and underfloor heating, installed bifold doors onto the garden and rewired with consumer-unit-grade safety. Internal walls in white-painted brick balance warmth against the working-shed brief.
The Outcome
What was an unheated store is now a daily workshop, laundry room and occasional spare bed — used every day of the year. The owner is already commissioning a second-phase rooflight installation for 2026.
